Profile
WAN Li (Donovan) is a Co-founding Partner at Tiger Partners specialising in commercial dispute resolution, with a particular focus on foreign-related commercial litigation and arbitration.
He advises investment funds, companies, founders, and senior decision-makers on disputes arising from equity investments, contracts, shareholder relationships, corporate control, and cross-border business activities.
His experience includes proceedings before PRC courts at all four levels and major arbitration institutions, as well as coordinating matters involving Hong Kong, the United States, the Cayman Islands, and other jurisdictions.
He began his legal career in 2009. Before co-founding Tiger Partners, he practised as a litigation lawyer at leading Chinese law firms and served as Litigation Director at an A-share listed company.

Represented a Philippine construction company before the Beijing No. 4 Intermediate People’s Court in an independent guarantee fraud dispute worth approximately USD 20 million. Secured full recognition of the client’s claims.
Represented a unicorn technology company in responding to a criminal investigation into alleged trade secret infringement initiated by a competitor. Public security authorities dismissed the case after determining that the founder had committed no criminal acts.
Represented a USD investment fund in an internal investigation concerning a senior manager of a Mainland China high-tech portfolio company, then initiated criminal proceedings for suspected occupational embezzlement. A Beijing procuratorate approved the executive’s arrest.
